Pedro Retires With 25 Major Trophies
Pedro Rodríguez has retired at 39 after a 20-year career featuring 889 games, 218 goals, 106 assists and 25 major trophies.

Pedro Retires as One of Football's Biggest Serial Winners
Pedro Rodríguez has officially retired from professional football at the age of 39, bringing an end to a remarkable career that saw him win almost everything available to him.
The former Barcelona, Chelsea, Roma and Lazio forward confirmed his decision on Wednesday after more than 20 years at the top level.
Pedro leaves football with an incredible record of 889 official appearances, 218 goals and 106 assists, according to career statistics reported following his retirement.
But his numbers tell only part of the story.
Pedro was a serial winner.
With Barcelona, he won five LaLiga titles, three Champions League trophies, three Copa del Reys, four Spanish Super Cups, three UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.
He then moved to Chelsea in 2015 and added the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League to his collection.
And at international level, Pedro was part of the Spain team that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2012. He earned 65 caps and scored 17 goals for his country.
His Barcelona years were particularly special.
Pedro became the first player to score in all six competitions Barcelona competed in during the 2009/10 season — LaLiga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
He also scored in the 2011 Champions League final against Manchester United as Barcelona won 3-1 at Wembley.
After leaving Barcelona, Pedro continued collecting major trophies at Chelsea before extending his career in Italy with Roma and Lazio.
His final years were spent at Lazio, where he remained a productive player well into his late 30s. He became a free agent after his contract expired in June 2026.
Now, the curtain has finally come down.
Pedro leaves the game as a World Cup winner, European champion, three-time Champions League winner and Premier League champion — while also having lifted major trophies in Spain, England and Italy.
Not bad for a player who was once simply known as “Pedrito.”
The football world now says goodbye to another member of that legendary Barcelona and Spain generation.
Thank you, Pedro. ❤️
