João Pedro Ends Chelsea Pre-Season With 8 Goals

João Pedro has finished Chelsea's pre-season with an impressive eight goals in seven appearances, including matches played behind closed doors.

The Brazilian striker ended his warm-up campaign in style by scoring twice in Chelsea's 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge. The result was Chelsea's final pre-season fixture before the new Premier League campaign.

João Pedro had already found the net regularly during the summer.

He scored a hat-trick in Chelsea's 7-0 victory over Crawley Town in a behind-closed-doors friendly, before scoring again against Bromley in another private fixture at Cobham.

He then continued his scoring run during Chelsea's overseas tour before adding his two goals against Real Sociedad.

The numbers are impressive, although they have come entirely in pre-season matches and should not be confused with competitive goals.

Still, João Pedro's form will give new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso plenty to think about before the Premier League opener.

The 24-year-old was already Chelsea's leading scorer last season, finishing the 2025/26 campaign with 20 goals in all competitions, according to the club's official statistics.

Now he appears ready to carry that scoring form into another campaign.

Chelsea will begin their Premier League season against Fulham on August 21.

After seven warm-up games and eight goals, João Pedro has sent a clear message.
