Florentino Pérez Open to Midfield Signing After Mourinho’s Request

Real Madrid could make a move for a new central creative midfielder after José Mourinho reportedly asked the club to strengthen the position, although president Florentino Pérez will only approve the signing if he becomes fully convinced by the player.

Pérez, however, prefers to wait until next summer before committing to another major midfield signing. The Real Madrid president is understood to be reluctant to make a move simply for the sake of adding another player to the squad.

Otherwise, Pérez is expected to stick with his preference of waiting until the summer transfer window.
