David Alaba Agrees to Join Udinese Until 2027

David Alaba has agreed to join Serie A side Udinese after leaving Real Madrid as a free agent.

The 34-year-old Austria international has reached an agreement with the Italian club on a one-year contract running until June 2027, according to multiple reports.

Alaba underwent his medical examinations in Rome on Wednesday before travelling to Udine, with the final formalities expected to be completed shortly.

Udinese had already teased the move on social media by posting an image of a white chair, a clear reference to Alaba's famous celebration after Real Madrid's Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in 2022.

The transfer will see Alaba begin a new chapter in Serie A after five seasons at Real Madrid.

He joined the Spanish giants from Bayern Munich in 2021 and went on to win major trophies in Spain, including two La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies. Before his move to Madrid, he enjoyed an extraordinary spell with Bayern, winning four Champions League titles across his career with the German club and Real Madrid.
