‘’Greatness Is Earned!’’ Al-Nassr Fans Stand Firmly Behind Ronaldo After Portugal Saga
Cristiano Ronaldo received a kingly welcome from Al-Nassr supporters as the Saudi Arabian club’s fans rallied behind their captain following his controversial departure from Portugal’s national team camp.

The Portuguese superstar returned to action for Al-Nassr against Al-Diriyah on Friday, October 9, with supporters making their feelings clear through an impressive stadium display dedicated to their legendary forward.
Fans unveiled a giant banner featuring Ronaldo’s iconic CR7 branding alongside the message, “Greatness is earned.” The crowd also chanted his name, with another special ovation arriving in the seventh minute in recognition of his famous shirt number.

The emotional reception came days after Ronaldo’s dispute with Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus attracted widespread attention.
The 41-year-old left Portugal’s training camp after being an unused substitute during the national team’s victory over Norway. Ronaldo subsequently accused Jesus of breaking promises regarding his expected involvement and the handling of the situation.
Jesus, however, denied that an agreement had been reached, leaving the disagreement unresolved publicly.
Despite the controversy surrounding his international future, Ronaldo received a completely different response in Riyadh, where Al-Nassr supporters demonstrated their continued affection for their captain.

The club had also publicly welcomed him back, describing him as the greatest in the heart of Najd.
Ronaldo responded on the pitch, scoring early in his return against Al-Diriyah to give supporters another reason to celebrate. The goal further underlined his determination to remain productive at club level amid the scrutiny surrounding his international career.

Although questions remain over the consequences of his departure from Portugal’s camp, Ronaldo has reiterated his willingness to represent his country after any potential punishment.
For now, the reception at Al-Awwal Park offered a powerful reminder of his standing among Al-Nassr supporters. While the Portuguese saga continues to generate debate, the Saudi Arabian club’s fans have made their support for their captain unmistakable.
