Cristiano Ronaldo Scores 977th Career Goal as Al Nassr Start Season in Style
Cristiano Ronaldo is back among the goals. The Portuguese superstar scored his 977th professional career goal as Al Nassr started the new season in winning fashion.

Cristiano Ronaldo is back, and the goals have followed. The Portuguese superstar marked his return to action by scoring his 977th professional career goal as Al Nassr cruised to a 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
Ronaldo began the match on the bench after missing Al Nassr’s opening league game of the season, but his introduction quickly reminded everyone why the 41-year-old remains one of football's most prolific goalscorers.
Coming off the bench, Ronaldo needed only around 20 minutes to find the net, adding another milestone to his extraordinary career and moving him to just 23 goals away from the historic 1,000-goal mark.
The goal also continued Ronaldo's remarkable scoring consistency with Al Nassr. He had already finished last season as a key figure in the club's Saudi Pro League title triumph, scoring twice in the final-day victory over Damac that secured the championship.
Now, with the new campaign underway, the countdown to 1,000 has resumed.
977 and counting.
At an age when most players have already retired, Ronaldo continues to rewrite the record books — and his latest goal suggests the chase for four digits is far from over.
The question now is simple: when will Cristiano Ronaldo score goal No. 1,000?
