South Korea have announced their squad for a busy run of international friendlies across the September and October FIFA windows, with matches against Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela and Uzbekistan on the agenda.

The squad features a strong blend of established stars and emerging talent, with several players based across Europe, Asia and MLS.

Captain Son Heung-min headlines the selection after his move to LAFC, while Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae, Atlético Madrid midfielder Lee Kang-in, Porto’s Hwang In-beom and Schalke forward Hwang Hee-chan are also included.

There is also a place for Mainz midfielder Lee Jae-sung, Birmingham City’s Paik Seung-ho, and Midtjylland striker Cho Gue-sung.

In goal, South Korea have selected Jo Hyeon-woo, Kim Seung-gyu, Song Bum-keun and Gu Sung-yun, while the defensive group includes experienced names alongside younger options such as Club Brugge’s Lee Han-beom.

The upcoming fixtures will give South Korea valuable preparation against four different styles of opposition as they continue building toward their next major international challenge.
