Raphinha and Yamal Combine for 31 G/A

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are tearing through the start of Barcelona’s 2026/27 campaign, with the two forwards already combining for 31 goal contributions in just eight competitive games.

Raphinha has been the biggest contributor, registering 14 goals and three assists, while Yamal has produced eight goals and six assists.

Their latest contributions came in Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Sevilla on September 19. Raphinha scored a hat-trick, while Yamal supplied two assists. Reuters confirmed that the victory maintained Barcelona’s perfect start to the LaLiga campaign.

The numbers become even more impressive when the competitions are separated. Barcelona’s official figures had the pair on 26 direct goal involvements after seven LaLiga matches, with Raphinha on 12 goals and four assists and Yamal on seven goals and four assists.

Their Champions League opener against Feyenoord then added further contributions, taking their combined tally to 31 across the first eight competitive games.

There is also a familiar name still sitting at the top of Barcelona’s historical benchmark.

Lionel Messi produced 18 goal contributions in Barça’s opening eight competitive matches of the 2011/12 season, a remarkable individual start during one of the greatest scoring seasons of his career.

That means the comparison needs some context: Raphinha and Yamal have reached 31 as a duo, whereas Messi reached 18 on his own.

Still, the underlying point is undeniable. Barcelona have started the season with two attackers producing at an extraordinary rate, and the Raphinha-Yamal partnership has quickly become one of the defining features of Hansi Flick’s side.
