Hansi Flick Makes Raphinha Stance Clear at Barcelona

Hansi Flick has made his position on Raphinha's future at Barcelona clear, describing the Brazilian as one of the most important players in his team.

Flick has repeatedly praised Raphinha's importance since taking charge at Barcelona, and his latest comments again suggest that the winger remains firmly in his plans.

“Raphinha STAYS,” Flick said in May, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Barcelona manager added that Raphinha is “one of our most important players” and said he was happy to have him back.

Flick has also highlighted the qualities Raphinha brings to his system, particularly his intensity and ability to increase the team's attacking dynamics.

Earlier in the season, Flick described the Brazilian as an important player whom Barcelona missed when he was unavailable. He also praised the intensity Raphinha brings in training.

That importance was clear during Raphinha's outstanding 2025/26 campaign, when he established himself as one of Barcelona's most productive attacking players.

Barcelona therefore appear to have little interest in losing him, despite reports of interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

For Flick, Raphinha offers more than goals and assists. His pressing, work rate and intensity fit the demands of the German coach's system.

The Brazilian also provides experience and leadership in an attack that includes Lamine Yamal and other young talents.

Flick's message leaves little room for doubt.

Baraelona need Raphinha, and the manager wants him to remain at the club.
