David Soria Extends Historic LaLiga Record to 194 Consecutive Starts
David Soria has made 194 consecutive LaLiga starts for Getafe, extending his record as the most consistently selected starter in the competition's history.

David Soria has extended his remarkable LaLiga record to 194 consecutive starts for Getafe. 🤯🧤
The Spanish goalkeeper started Monday's 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo at the Coliseum, taking his extraordinary run beyond the 193 consecutive starts he had reached in the previous round.
Soria is now officially the player with the most consecutive starts in LaLiga history, having surpassed the previous record of 192 held by former Real Sociedad defender Juan Antonio Larrañaga.
His streak began on August 13, 2021, when he started Getafe's opening league game of the 2021/22 season against Valencia at Mestalla.
Since then, Soria has started every single LaLiga match for Getafe.
That's more than five years of being the first name on the team sheet without missing a league game as a starter.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has now gone from breaking into the top three of LaLiga's all-time consecutive-starts list to becoming its outright record holder.
LaLiga recognised the achievement before Getafe's match against Celta, presenting Soria with a commemorative award for his record.
And the record is still active.
194 consecutive LaLiga starts.
A remarkable level of consistency from Getafe's No.1. 🧤💙
