Christopher Nkunku Transfer Battle: Newcastle and RB Leipzig Compete for Milan Forward
Christopher Nkunku is attracting serious interest from Newcastle United and RB Leipzig, with AC Milan prepared to let the French forward leave before the transfer window closes.

Christopher Nkunku is emerging as one of the names to watch before the summer transfer window closes, with Newcastle United and RB Leipzig both pushing for the AC Milan forward.
The 28-year-old Frenchman is reportedly available for transfer after falling out of Ruben Amorim’s plans at San Siro. Milan are prepared to listen to offers and are open to allowing Nkunku to leave this month.
Newcastle have made their interest clear and, according to reports, have submitted the most favourable proposal so far. The Premier League club see Nkunku as a potential attacking reinforcement as they continue reshaping their squad.
However, RB Leipzig are also pushing for a reunion with their former star. Nkunku enjoyed the best spell of his career in Germany, scoring 70 goals in 172 appearances for Leipzig before moving to Chelsea in 2023.
Recent reports suggest Nkunku may favour a return to Leipzig, although Newcastle remain firmly in the race. Both clubs are in contact with Milan, but negotiations are not yet considered advanced.
With Milan keen to resolve his situation before the window shuts, Nkunku’s next destination could become one of the transfer stories to watch until deadline day.
