Manchester United striker Benjamin Šeško has confirmed that he will miss Slovenia’s upcoming international matches as he continues his recovery from injury.

Šeško shared a message on social media on Tuesday, expressing his disappointment at being unavailable for his country but insisting that his priority is to return to full fitness.

“I am very sorry to have to miss the national team matches. Right now, the most important thing is to fully focus on my recovery.”

The forward added that he is already working towards making his return as soon as possible.

“I am already working on getting back on the pitch as soon as possible to help both the national team and my club once again.”

Šeško’s absence will be a blow to Slovenia, with the Manchester United forward becoming an important attacking option for his country. His decision to remain focused on rehabilitation also comes as United will be hoping to have him back available for club action once he is fully recovered.

The 23-year-old’s message suggests that there is no intention to rush his comeback, with Šeško instead concentrating on completing his recovery properly before returning to competitive football.

For both Manchester United and Slovenia, the priority will now be seeing their striker regain full fitness and return to the pitch.
