AC Milan Yet to Open Pulisic Contract Talks

AC Milan have yet to open talks with Christian Pulisic over a new contract, despite the American winger's current deal expiring at the end of the 2026/27 season.

According to The Athletic, Milan have not started negotiations with Pulisic's representatives. However, the club are understood to want to keep the 28-year-old beyond his current agreement.

Pulisic's existing contract, which he signed after joining Milan from Chelsea in 2023, runs until June 30, 2027. It also contains an option allowing Milan to extend the deal until June 2028. Milan's official announcement confirmed the clause when he joined the club.

That option means Milan are not under immediate pressure to reach a new long-term agreement. Recent reports indicate the club could activate the extension while continuing discussions over a separate, longer contract.

Pulisic has also attracted interest from MLS, but Milan rejected an approach from New York City FC during the summer and remain keen to retain the United States international.

The situation could therefore develop in two stages: Milan can first secure Pulisic's future until 2028 through the existing option before negotiating a longer-term renewal.

For now, though, no new contract talks have been opened.
