Ronaldo Still Wanted As Jorge Jesus Offers Portugal Return
Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus has opened the door for Cristiano Ronaldo to return to the national team, insisting the veteran forward remains welcome despite his recent departure from the squad.

Ronaldo left Portugal’s training camp after being informed that he would not start against Denmark, raising fresh questions over his international future.
The decision immediately sparked speculation that the legendary forward could be approaching the end of his career with the national team.
However, Jesus has refused to shut the door on Ronaldo. The coach made it clear that the decision ultimately rests with the 41-year-old superstar and that he would be welcomed back if he chooses to return in the next international break.

Jesus, who previously worked with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, has maintained that the forward remains an important figure for Portugal.
The coach also suggested that Ronaldo’s experience and influence could continue to benefit the squad, even as the team begins to prepare for life beyond its long-serving captain.
The situation has attracted significant attention because Ronaldo remains Portugal’s all-time leading scorer and most-capped player. His contribution to the national team over the years has made him one of the most influential figures in Portuguese football history.
Portugal have continued their campaign without Ronaldo, securing important results and demonstrating that they possess options capable of contributing in his absence. Nevertheless, Jesus appears keen to keep the possibility of a return alive.

Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença has also backed Ronaldo, describing the recent situation as a misunderstanding rather than a definitive break between the player and the national team.
With another international window approaching, Ronaldo could yet return to the Portugal setup. For now, Jesus has made his position clear: the door remains open, but the final decision belongs to Ronaldo.
