Facundo Buonanotte is set for another loan spell away from Brighton, with the Argentine midfielder joining La Liga side Elche for the 2026/27 season.

The move will see Buonanotte continue his development in Spain after spending the second half of last season on loan at Leeds United. Importantly, the agreement does not include a buy option, meaning Brighton retain full ownership of the 21-year-old.

Buonanotte will take on the prestigious No. 10 shirt at Elche, highlighting the club's expectations of the talented Argentine and the role he could play in their attacking setup.

The former Rosario Central youngster has already gained valuable experience in England and Spain, and another season playing regular first-team football could prove crucial to his development.

For Elche, the arrival of Buonanotte adds creativity, technical quality and versatility to their attacking options. The Argentine will now have an opportunity to establish himself as one of the team's key players while continuing to impress his parent club.

With no permanent option attached to the deal, Brighton will be keeping a close eye on his progress throughout the campaign.
